Voluntary Prekindergarten Education Program
If you live in Florida, and your child turns 4 four years of age by September 1, your child is eligible to participate in Florida's FREE VPK. VPK gives children a jump start by preparing them for school and enhancing their pre-reading, pre-math, language and social skills. VPK classrooms offer high-quality programs that include high literacy standards, developmentally appropriate curricula, manageable class sizes, and qualified teachers.

Early Learning Coalition of Miami-Dade/Monroe
This a nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring early care and education for children in Miami-Dade and Monroe counties. Through a variety of affordable and innovative early education and voluntary pre-kindergarten programs, the Coalition serves more than 50,000 children ages birth to 12 years old and their families.

The Early Childhood Initiative Foundation
The foundation was formed to work toward an early childhood education and development initiative in Miami-Dade County. It aims toward "universal readiness" -- that is, making available and affordable high quality health, education and nurturing for all children between birth and age 5. It works toward the social, physical, emotional and intellectual growth of all children so that they are ready and eager to be successful in the first grade and in life.

Accreditation
The National Early Childhood Program Accreditation (NECPA) was established in 1991 to encourage quality and recognize excellence in early childhood programs throughout the United States and other countries. We pledge to remain focused on the interests of children by promoting benchmarks for high quality standards throughout the early care and education profession. We are "The Next Generation in Accreditation".

The Children's Trust
The four major goals or results that The Children's Trust seeks to achieve in collaboration with community partners: Children are healthy physically and emotionally; supported by safe, nurturing families and communities; ready to succeed when entering school; and succeeding in school and society. The Children's Trust partners with the community to plan, advocate for and fund strategic investments that improve the lives of all children and families in Miami-Dade County.

HighScope
HighScope's research on preschool education has had an important impact on public policy, contributing to the continuation of the national Head Start program and other educational programs for young children. HighScope preschool programs are compatible with the Guidelines for Appropriate Practice published by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
